Thanksgiving round 2

Today, we had Thanksgiving with the White side of the family. It was a low-key affair, at our house. Gavin enjoyed a walk with Tutu, Poppa and Wembley, while Greg, Erin and Rodger worked on finishing up dinner (which was started by James and Brenda).
Erin worked on the food while Greg did dishes, so that we wouldn't be far behind. This was especially important since the dishwasher was acting up for part of the day (it seems fixed now).

















After his walk, Gavin and his grandparents played together. Gavin really enjoyed playing with blocks....or rather, knocking over blocks that other people stacked up for him.

As you can see, Gavin had a place of honor at the head of the table. He's not spoiled at all!

Thanksgiving round 1

We had a lovely Thanksgiving with the Fish side of the family today. We enjoyed delicious food at Andrew's house (a big deal, since this was our first meal there!) We had a nice relaxing afternoon, playing games and watching movies. Gavin really enjoyed his visit, so much so that he tried to boycott naptime!

Took me awhile to get these posted but here is Gavin at 9 months old!

Very tired visit to Festival of Trees

Today, we went to the Festival of Trees, to see all the work that Kathryn (Gogie) had done. Gavin loved watching the clog dancers and looking at all the lights. We wandered around for quite awhile and then went to see Santa at Jingle Bell Junction. Poor Gavin was a little tired during his Santa encounter but was very intrigued by the big guy. Gavin seemed quite impressed by Santa's beard. We were so proud that he wasn't scared at all!

Family Time

Gavin got to spend time with his extended family today.

Great-Grandpa Bud, Mary Anne, Great-Aunt Lou and Cousin Asie came up to see the Festival of Trees. Kathryn (Gogie) was very involved in the planning of the festival this year and many of Great-Grandpa's wooden artwork pieces are on display (and selling like hotcakes!) After the family checked out the festival, they met Erin and Gavin for lunch at Wendy's and then some quality time at the Fish house.



Gavin had never met either Asie or Great-Aunt Lou before, so this was a real treat! We were so happy to see them here in town and to get to spend time with everyone. Hopefully, we'll get to see everyone again really soon!
