Sweet little Smunchie

Smunchie has been growing like a weed lately,  She is fully in 18 month clothes now and she has SIX teeth!  She also has enough hair to actually support a bow!  She stands quite well and is getting close to walking.  She very much enjoys standing and trying to go through cabinets.

Here she is, in her new outfit from her Uncle Rodger and soon-to-be-Aunt Sarah.   She is also wearing a bracelet that I (Erin) wore as a baby.

Camp-In

 Lil G has been working very hard to fill his sticker chart, in order to earn a "camp-in" with Daddy in the living room.  He struggles a lot with trying new foods and with going to bed at bedtimes.  So, we made a sticker chart to reward his positive behaviors.  Lil G filled his chart and so he was able to sleep in the living room, in his tent.

First up for the evening- making popcorn with daddy.  Always important to be properly attired.

 Next up- Jammies and watching a movie ("Wreck-It Ralph") before bed. All capped off with....s'mores!  He was ecstatic.  So much so that he had a little trouble falling (and staying) asleep.  He kept waking up daddy to tell him about interesting dreams during the night.

 He and daddy were quite sleepy the next day but overall, I think they both had a blast.  He is already talking about earning another "camp-in" when he fills his next chart.

A little about Lil G

Smunchie's Birthday: Part 1

It is still hard for me to believe that my little girl is already one year old!  She is so amazing and she is such a light in our world.  We ended up having two birthday parties for the little Miss.  We had a very small one on her actual birthday, with her friends, at the local Children's museum.  She had a great time, especially eating her first cupcake!

 Big brother, Lil G, was so sweet during the birthday celebration.  He wanted to make sure that his "Little girlie" was having fun!  It was hard to keep him from feeding her extra cupcakes.

One year/Four year pictures

Well, it's that time of the year again.  Time to get professional pics taken of my sweet kiddos.  I like to get someone else to take pictures one time per year, so that we can see how they grow and change.  And, we are blessed to have a fantastic photographer right here in town, at Tumbling Leaves Photography.  Melissa is so patient with the kids and always manages to get great shots, despite the fact that they (well, mostly Lil G) act crazy the whole time!
It's hard to believe that we have a one year old and a four year old.  We are so very blessed.

 Lil G decided to take his "Super G" cape to the photo shoot, along with his "Super G" doll.  He had fun hamming it up as a "super".

 Little Smunchie was not super smiley during her photos but she was still super sweet!

At the end of the session, Lil G stated that it was time for his "Super G" doll to get a photo taken.  I love it.  I'm thinking of hanging this photo up in his room.

Easter 2013

 This year was an interesting year for us.  Smunchie celebrated her second Easter in her first year of life!  We had a pretty mellow Easter, with an indoor hunt (it was snowy outside) and a meal with Papa and Tutu.  Lil G and Smunchie both got a few gifts and some books.

Lil G posing by his Easter basket, with his new doll diapers and wipes case Mama worked hard this year to give both kiddos some homemade gifts (because homemade seems more special)! Lil G also got a dolly diaper bag, from Mom-made.

 Smunchie also got a homemade gift.....a monster busy box!  She loves to take things out of the monster's "mouth" again and again.
