Fun with tummy time.
In no way shape or form a fan of the sunglasses.

Tummy time gets exhausting.

New Hat

Gavin, sporting the new hat made especially for him by his mommy.

It's a little big. But fits better than the ones in the stores. This is t
he smallest (newborn) size.

Not so much a fan of tummy time.

Hanging out and watching mom vacuum from the couch.

Please no emails about how I am an irresponsible mom. I was right there the whole time and he was supported by the Boppy.

Discovery

Lil G is still working to discover new things. On Sunday evening, he discovered how to roll both ways (as in, roll to the right or the left, from tummy to back). Yesterday, he discovered how to hold things in his hands with more control. This did involve smacking himself in the head with a rattle, however.

Today, Lil G finally discovered his mobile on the swing. For three months, it has been dangling there and today it became mesmerizing. Rock on, swing.

Storms

I love thunderstorms. The lights and the sounds are so amazing to me. It always seems as though the world is cleaner after the storms pass.

That being said...I despise days of rain. I love the storms but I want them to pass and then the sun to come out, bright and beautiful. This hatred of dismal days are exaccerbated by my dog who freaks out with the rain as well. She is scared of storms and barks during them. However, she remains skittish after the rain has passed.

She doesn't seem to appreciate the cleaner world after the rains.

Mother's day and sleeping in own room

Mother's day was wonderful in the Fish home. We pretty much celebrated on Saturday. Greg and Lil G worked together to get me some wonderful gifts. One was sentimental and one was fun. I really cannot believe that I am a mother this year. Lil G has been such a blessing in my life and I look at him every day in amazement. It is so strange to think that something so perfect came from someone as imperfect as me :-)

Lil G had a big night last night. For the first time, he slept in his room all by himself. This was nerve-racking for Greg and myself. I had the baby monitor up so loud that I am pretty sure I could have heard a pin drop in the nursery. Eventually, I mellowed a bit and Greg and I got some sleep. Lil G seemed to enjoy his room. He loves looking at the kite and hot air balloons.
