First trip to the pool!

On Sunday, Gavin went to the pool for the first time. At first, he seemed a little unsure, but then he really warmed up to the experience. He was loving kicking and splashing mommy and daddy.

On a typical day, Gavin spends at least part of the day hanging out on the table, watching mom clean.

Father's Day

Gavin gave his daddy a Cubs t-shirt and a baseball with his handprint on it.

4 Months Old!!

Gavin rolled over, from back to front

Gavin thinks that it is hilarious when his monkey from his play gym lays on his face.


Today, after much effort, Gavin finally succeeded in rolling over from his back to his tummy. He has been trying to do this for about two weeks.

This is the reason babies need their nails trimmed frequently....

So sad!!

A typical morning in the life of Gavin

Waking up. It's morning, it's morning. Bright sunshine coming your way. Good morning, good morning, Gavin!
After eating, its time for a diaper change. Then, after that diaper change, it's time for another one, since the new one was immediately dirtied.

All dressed and ready for the day!
Tummy time while mommy has breakfast.

Into the carseat for a morning trip the park. Gavin took a nap in the park and played on the swing for the first time!
Back home for more floor time. A lot of time spent trying to figure out how to roll over from back to tummy.
Time to hang out in the swing while mommy has lunch.

Earthtainer of Tomatoes

This is our new Earthtainer, made by Greg. It is one of our continuing efforts to be more green, by growing tomatoes in a container that uses 75% less water than growing them in the ground. We'll have two more Earthtainers soon, with strawberries and some other veggies.

Car Seat

This is Gavin's car seat, completely stripped down, in order to wash every part that can be washed. Why, you may ask? We were driving to the park and I heard Gavin unmistakeably fill his diaper. Unfortunately, he apparently could have not been wearing a diaper at all and I swear there would have been less mess. We had to turn around, go home and take a midmorning bath.

Gavin found the whole process entirely entertaining.
Good thing he's so cute.

Bouncy Seat

Greg modified Gavin's bouncy seat so that it can run on either batteries or with a plug. That way, we can stop burning through batteries so quickly!
