The Children's Discovery Museum

This weekend, we went to the museum with Uncle Rodger. Rodger and Gavin had a blast playing with all of the exhibits. We are so blessed to have our family nearby!

Halloween Pt. 1

We had a very low key Halloween. Gavin woke up with a croupy cough, so we decided to forgo trick-or-treating this year. He got to hand out candy in his owl costume and seemed to like seeing all of the people who were dressed up. One of his friends came over to play and have dinner and they boys had a great time running about together.

Our trip to Nauvoo

This last weekend, we took a trip to Nauvoo to visit Greg's grandfather and relatives. It was a wonderful trip and we got to see a lot of people. Gavin even made a new friend! We hope to get back often.

Gavin LOVES to play dress up and over the last few months, I have been acquiring different dress up outfits for him. He adores hats and there is hardly a day that goes by where he does not spend at least part of his time in one of his fancy outfits.

Gavin's first haircut

Gavin had his first haircut on Wednesday September 15th at Fox and Hounds in Bloomington. My friend's mother owns the studio and offered to give him a trim. So, we all went together to say bye-bye to Gavin's baby mullet!

This is just a smattering of the photos that we have. My friend is working to become a photographer, so he took pictures for us.

The Magic House

On September 4th, we went to the Magic House in St. Louis with some of our good friends. We all managed to fit into one van and had a great day playing together. The boys all had a blast and it was a wonderful experience to watch Baby G look at and explore the world around him. He showed us so many things:

1.) Gavin is a sliding Rock Star! Here he is exiting the three story slide, which he went down feet first, sitting up!
2.) Gavin laughs in the face of heights. Here he is standing high above us, on a walkway.
3.) Gavin loves plastic rabbits. He appeared to want to take one home.
4.) There is nothing better than napping with your friends, after a long day of play.

Thunderstorm

One night, there was a very loud and beautiful thunderstorm outside. Gavin and daddy enjoyed watching the rain and lightening. Gavin continuously exclaimed, "Wow. Wow" every time the lightening flashed. Then, he seemed to think his speech was making the storm. Such a sweet moment for daddy and son.
