Snow Days

We had snow!  Not nearly the blizzard that was predicted but we did have snow!  Lil G loves to play in the snow, so he and daddy built a "snowman".  This involved hauling buckets of snow, so they could construct their friend, whom Lil G named "Bryan".

This past weekend, we ventured to visit family in Nauvoo.  They had a lot more snow there!  Enough that the kids both got to go sledding for the first time!  Lil G had a blast.  Smunchie tolerated it but did not enjoy the snow nearly as much.

First real snow of the year

On Thursday, we had the first significant snowfall of the year.  This was quite a blow to mama, since on Wednesday, it was 50 degrees and we were playing at a park!

Lil G talked about the snow ALL. DAY. LONG.  

He kept asking if he could go out and make a snowman.  Mama wanted to wait until the blowing snow died down a bit.  So, after dada came home (early) we headed out to play in the frosty air.

Lil G was a bit disappointed that the snow is not snowman-worthy.  He had been talking all day about making a snowperson, complete with carrot nose and stick arms.  Dada explained that the snow was too dry to make into a snowman. Lil G cheered up pretty quickly, after dada let him help shovel the walk!

Dada and Lil G worked hard to clear the walk.  Mama hid inside the garage and took pictures :-)

Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday at the Fish house was full of fun and good times. Mommy and Gavin went to the park and had an awesome walk around the neighborhood. Then, Gavin's Tutu and Poppa came over and had dinner with us. We all watched the game together and enjoyed each other's company.
